Males of the Golden breed measure between 56 – 61 cm and females are slightly smaller with a height of approximately 51 – 56 cm. Males have an average weight of 29 – 34 kg, and females 25 – 29 kg. Golden dogs generally reach their maximum height at one year of age and their full weight at maturity at two years of age.

Golden dog grooming
One recommendation is to brush them daily, as this will remove some of the loose hair from their coat, preventing it from settling on your clothes and all over your house, but it is still best to get used to encountering loose hair from time to time.
Golden dogs are very sociable dogs so they need to live in contact with the human family and not be left alone in a yard or isolated place. Being very active, they need at least 40 to 60 minutes of intense exercise daily.
They thrive on obedience training, agility classes and other canine activities are good options to give them physical and mental exercise.
Golden dogs love to eat, so they are prone to becoming fat quickly if overfed. Therefore it is best to limit treats, daily kibble and regulate feeding.
